Take a look inside the new House of Sassoon

One of the world’s most iconic hairdressing names marks its 70th anniversary in 2024 – Sassoon is synonymous worldwide with technical excellence and innovation, and we were excited to attend the launch of the House of Sassoon London, the brand’s new flagship location.

Sandra Lee, Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at House of Sassoon says, “Representing the very essence of Sassoon, the House of Sassoon venture reignites the DNA of the brand as it flows through five glorious floors. Developed as a community for Sassoon enthusiasts, with locations in both London and Beverly Hills, our new concept includes a dedicated salon, academy classrooms, a spacious theatre, a unique chair rental membership and ambassador programme, an event space rental as well as in-salon education training programmes for local salons.

“London has always been a fashion capital and Sassoon has a heritage and an affinity with the city that stretches back to the original Bond Street Salon, opened on Bond Street in 1954. As ever, team Sassoon are intentional about all that they do and choosing Greek Street as a location has been a considered choice. It will be our new home for many years to come and we look forward to welcoming clients, students, models and guests to share in the excitement of our new journey and the next chapter of the Sassoon story.”

The launch was packed with hairdressing legends and a who’s who of Sassoon alumni, with guests including ‘the mother of colour’ Annie Humphries, International Creative Director Mark Hayes, Tim Hartley, Anthony and Pat Mascolo, and Karine Jackson for a night of avant-garde designs and the promise of artistic exploration – the signature white walls are adorned with pictures of iconic Sassoon cuts from bobs and pixie crops to the five point cut and the huge space played host to models representing his classic styles.
