As the Christmas rush approaches, it’s easy to get excited about the fun and sparkle it brings to the salon. It’s the most wonderful time of the year after all! You might even be fully booked by now, but if not, follow these steps from Tina Hollis, aka The Lonely Boss Lady, to prepare for a fantastic end to 2023 and set your salon up for a fabulous 2024.

Making Your List, Checking it Twice…
Make sure your clients know you’re ready to make them look and feel fabulous during the holiday season, but don’t try to pack them all into the 2-3 weeks before Christmas!
Remember our clients have their Christmas do’s so spread the appointments out from November, reminding your clients it’s best to be looking fab for all of December not just the Christmas break, and those November clients will then be booking in for their hair in January too which is a win win!
My tip: Start promoting your Christmas packages and services early! Create a buzz on social media and through email campaigns and let clients know what availability you have left. You should definitely be doing this right now – it’s not too early!

Gift of Glowing Success
Remember, it’s not just about selling products; it’s about helping your clients feel and look their best. Gift vouchers for some pampering sessions are always a great way of getting some extra sales!
But a handy tip with gift vouchers is to put the money aside in a savings pot and when the voucher is redeemed pop it through the till!
Plotting the Course for 2024
Setting your salon up for success in 2024 is all about planning, goals, and a dash of inspiration.
Start by reflecting on what worked well in 2023 and what you’d like to improve in the coming year.
Consider your team’s training and development, salon aesthetics, and the services you offer.
Do you have any fresh ideas or services you want to introduce? This is the time to dream big and set achievable goals. It’s also the time to really invest in your knowledge of running your business too, and how to help it grow from strength to strength.

A New Year’s Promise
As the new year approaches, remind yourself and your team of the unique atmosphere and experience your salon provides all year round.
What’s the “vibe” of your salon? Continue to be the place where clients feel comfortable, pampered, and welcomed.
A promise to continue delivering top-notch service will keep your loyal clients coming back and attract new ones.
