What Do You Get With Our Student Insurance?

We provide all the cover you need to practise on fellow students, friends, relatives and members of the public for case studies or other work as part of your course. You are also protected everywhere in the UK, guaranteeing peace of mind whether you’re working at home, at a client’s property, or at your college.

To ensure that you have all the student insurance you need, we include a number of covers in your policy as standard to safeguard you against the unexpected. If a client or member of the public sustains an injury as a result of your work, for example if a client trips over your case, your public liability insurance cover would step in. It would also pay out for property damage, such as accidentally spilling coffee over a laptop at a client’s home. However, this doesn’t provide compensation for mishaps arising from professional treatments or therapies you carry out, so we automatically provide treatment risk insurance or malpractice insurance for that. Which of these two covers you receive depends on which one is more appropriate for what you do. For example, if you are training in hairdressing you would get treatment risk, whereas a trainee holistic therapist would have malpractice. Products liability and financial loss insurance are also included as standard.

In addition, you may choose to add any of our optional extra covers to your policy, such as legal expenses and stock & equipment cover.
