Tanning Salon Insurance FAQs
How much does tanning salon insurance cost?
Due to the high risk nature of tanning salon treatments, premiums for insurance can vary enormously from around £500 to more than £3,000. The premium for your particular tanning salon will depend upon a variety of factors including the covers you require, your sums insured, the number of sunbeds and the experience of the business owner. Previous claims history will also affect the price you pay.
Do tanning salons need insurance?
Insurance protection is essential for tanning salons due to the high value of the contents and the high risk nature of the tanning treatments. Tanning beds can be very expensive to replace and are easily damaged and without insurance, the salon owner would be left to foot the bill.
Also, what would happen if a customer was injured on a tanning bed? Without public liability insurance and in particular treatment risk liability insurance, the salon owner would be responsible for paying any claims for compensation. Specialist insurance would be your safety net in these instances.
