The Problem With Piercings
Piercings have always been popular in the world of beauty, but the type of piercing that seeing a real surge lately is the humble nose piercing. Though it can be applied in a variety of different ways, the most common of these is nostril piercing, where the skin or cartilage is pierced with a sterilised needle. Once the skin has been pierced, a training piercing that is wider than normal piercing is then inserted. This to accommodate for any swelling. Once the piercing has fully healed, clients can then swap their piercing over to a regular piercing.
As a beauty therapist who offers nose piercing, you’ll no doubt already know that any type of piercing comes with its own unique set of risks. There are a host of side effects to contend with, including infection, nerve damage, diseases and even scarring. And, even if you do everything by the book, unfortunately accidents can happen in the treatment chair. All it takes is one client having a bad reaction to the piercing for you to be hit with a compensation claim that could destroy your business.
And that’s where we come in. Here at Salon Gold, we want to help you protect your business from all the mishaps life throws your way. We’ve included treatment risk cover as standard in our Salon Gold Beauty Therapist insurance policy, to make sure that whatever goes wrong, you’re protected.
N.B. For nose piercing insurance, you need to take out a Salon Gold Beauty Salon or Beauty Therapist insurance policy and nose piercing as an optional additional beauty treatment. To see the range of beauty treatments we can cover, visit our Beauty Salon or Freelance Beauty Therapist page.
