Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is a form of massage. It is distinguished from other types of massage in that a quasi-static pressure is applied to the skin with the aim of stimulating specific areas of skeletal muscle. As a profession, Neuromuscular Therapy is relatively low risk but you do need to protect yourself and your business. In today’s world, people are increasingly ready to take legal proceedings for compensation and the incidence of claims against therapists is on the increase.
