Pilates insurance FAQs

What insurance do I need to teach Pilates?

Legally speaking, the only insurance you need to teach Pilates is employer’s liability insurance if you employ others. However, it’s highly advisable to have other covers in order to safeguard your livelihood, enhance your credibility, and secure work.

Can I teach Pilates without a qualification?

Yes, it’s possible to teach Pilates without a qualification in the UK, although this isn’t advisable. Operating without proper certification may risk legal issues, insurance problems, and harm to clients. Most instructors therefore obtain at least a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Mat Pilates, which provides knowledge on anatomy, physiology, and practical teaching skills.

How much does Pilates insurance cost?

How much Pilates instructor insurance costs depends on factors like your experience, previous claims history, how much cover you require and the size of your operation.

However, what we can guarantee at Salon Gold is some of the most affordable cover around. Regardless of your circumstances, we always look to keep our Pilates instructor insurance policies as low as possible, without compromising on the quality of cover.
