Hair Removal from the East
Increasingly popular in salons, the ancient art of threading originates from central Asia and India. During a treatment, a thin thread (made from cotton or polyester) is doubled and twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, and plucks hairs at follicle level. Unlike waxing or tweezing, it can provide more precise control in shaping eyebrows, is gentle on the skin and can remove short lines of hair at a time.
Although threading can have significantly less risks than other methods of hair removal, it isn’t completely without its risks. As a beauty therapist who practises threading, you’ll know that it can aggravate acne in those suffering from spot-prone skin, and can cause redness in those with sensitive skin. As with any business, accidents can and do happen so you want to keep your interests protected.
Enter our Salon Gold Beauty Therapist insurance policy. We’ve included treatment liability as a standard cover in our policy, so even if a client does sue you for compensation, your policy will cover the expense. This could mean the difference between you continuing to shape and mould people’s dream look, and having to shut up business for good – so protect your business with our help. It’s definitely worth it.
