Comprehensive microneedling insurance at affordable prices

Another treatment that’s gaining popularity in the UK is microneedling. Also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling, the process uses a device covered with tiny, shallow needles to poke holes in the skin’s surface, causing a micro injury that prompts the body’s healing response to take effect. This stimulates the production of collagen, filling in fine lines, plumping the skin, and giving an overall brighter and more youthful complexion. This treatment can be used on almost every area of the body, including the face, arms, neck, legs, abdomen, back, and hands.

Because of the use of needles to break the skin’s surface, the procedure is considered invasive, which increases the risks associated with it. As a beauty therapist trained in microneedling, you will already be aware of these side effects, which include allergic reactions when used in conjunction with products that may not be tested for use with microneedling, as well as oozing, swelling, infections, milia, and acne flare. If your client sadly experiences these side effects, they may choose to file a claim against you. This can leave you financially responsible to pay compensation, as well as subject to expensive legal fees, which could damage your business and leave you unable to continue operating.

Here at Salon Gold, we recognise the risks associated with microneedling treatments, and want to protect your business with our comprehensive insurance policies, allowing you to continue working, safe in the knowledge that you’ll be completely covered in the event of any accidents.

Microneedling Insurance FAQs

Can microneedling be done mobile?

If you’re a mobile beauty therapist, it is possible to offer your clients microneedling as a treatment, as long as you’ve completed all the relevant training. As microneedling is completed with a hand-held tool, it can be offered as a mobile service.

What insurance do I need for microneedling?

To be properly covered to provide microneedling treatments, you need to hold at least public liability, products liability, financial loss, and treatment risk cover. Public liability insurance is perhaps the most important cover in your policy, as it keeps you financially protected if a compensation claim is made against you and your business in regards to injury to your client or their property. These kinds of claims can be very expensive to settle and may leave you out of pocket if you do not hold the right insurance policy. Product liability insurance covers you in the event a claim is made against the products you use or supply to your clients, while treatment risk insurance keeps you protected against any problems that may come up as a direct result of microneedling your clients. We offer all these covers automatically with all of our beauty insurance policies.

How much is microneedling insurance?

Here at Salon Gold, we offer microneedling insurance as part of our beauty insurance policies. The overall cost of your policy wholly depends on any extra cover you may want included, as well as your experience working in the industry and whether or not you’ve taken a claim out in the past. Our expert team will work with you to build an affordable insurance package that’s best suited to your business needs.
