HD Brows is a multi-stage eyebrow shaping process and if you’re providing this service you should make sure that you’re fully insured with HD Brows Insurance to protect you against the risks that you face.
There are a number of types of insurance that you should consider. The main one is public liability insurance, but you should also consider employer’s liability insurance, property insurance, personal accident and sickness insurance and legal expenses insurance.
Public liability insurance
This covers you if a compensation claim is made against you by a member of the public. A standard policy will only cover claims involving an injury or property damage so you should make sure your insurance has a financial loss cover extension which will protect you if a claim for a purely economic loss is made against you.
A standard policy will also exclude cover for claims arising out of the delivery of professional services so you should make sure your insurance includes a treatment risk extension to protect you in case such a claim is made.
Public liability insurance usually comes with products liability insurance which covers claims arising out of any defects in products that you have sold or supplied.
As well as covering the claim, your insurer will also help you deal with the claim and any legal issues that arise.
Employer’s liability insurance
This is similar to public liability insurance except that it covers claims made by your employees. You’re legally required to have this insurance if you employ anyone and there are heavy penalties if you fail to comply.
Property insurance
This type of insurance covers you if your property is accidentally damaged or stolen. You should make sure you insure for the full value of all of your property because otherwise you could be penalised in the event of a claim.
Personal accident & sickness insurance
Your income can be protected via personal accident and sickness cover. This means that if you are unable to work because you’re ill or have been injured, you won’t have to worry about how you are going to cover your outgoings because this insurance will be paying you a weekly benefit. A lump sum is payable if you will be unable to return to work.
Legal expenses insurance
Legal expenses covers your legal costs if you become involved in legal action. A number of different types of legal action are covered.
