We’ve officially had a couple of days of sunshine in the UK and we, as a nation, are loving it. The short skirts have come out, the picnic blankets are loyally sweeping the parks and summer style, including a brand-new hair ‘do, is upon us. We’re no stranger to a pink hairdo, having seen pretty pastels and pink lemonade of recent. However, this summer’s new pink look has a difference; it’s peach hair and it’s got depth and dimension like we’ve never seen before.

First reported by Refinery29, the peach hair look is trending rapidly on social media, which shows us that as the warm weather creeps in, so too will this girly new hair trend. The look comes off the back of the huge popularity of rose gold hair last summer. Fashionistas are still craving those sweeter-than-sweet pink tresses, but this year, they want something a little different. Peach hair adds a little extra depth, due to the lowlights and highlights that make up this fruity look.

With festival season upon us already, we can imagine how popular this hair colour trend is going to be. Paired with bikini tops, layers of gold chain jewellery and thigh-splitting maxi skirts, it’s a style with music festival vibes written all over it.

This look screams festival-chic and we love the sharp, cropped fringe to partner the peachy tones. The tousled waves give the colour extra dimension and this stylist has nailed the coral lowlights and pale copper highlights needed to make this the perfect peach hair.

There are some seriously creative ways stylists have so far rocked this trend. From soft, ashy peach to striking bold coral-peach, there’s a hue for every skin tone so no matter what your style, you can create the perfect on-trend peach hair to suit.

A slightly more classically pink version of the look, this takes a pastel pink, blended with the peach tones to give it a warmer effect than simply the vintage pink hue alone. Old school, Hollywood waves finish off the colour trend to a tee.

Fierier versions of the trend have been sweeping Instagram. With definite peach tones dominating the palette, they are made infinitely brighter and more intense with the addition of a statement, vivid coral. This look is only heightened with the sharp, on-trend and mod-style undercut.

Peach in its most authentic hue. This palette blends peach, orange and blonde highlights to create a shade that is undeniably on-hue. Working best on blonde hair, this look is a solid overall colour with some lighter blonde highlights just licking the ends of the hair.

The brunette version of the trend is slightly deeper, but just as pretty. Working fantastically as part of a balayage hairstyle, this look brings the peach tones through as highlights from the root and works its way down to the ends of the hair for a solid colour at the tips. A copper tone of peach blends flawlessly with the natural brunette base.

Whether you are icy blonde or brunette, the peach hair trend is one for everybody to try.
