We have had another fabulous London Fashion Week 2016 and have seen the new trends for Hair and Make Up. We have put together some of the best looks seen on the catwalk to reflect on some of the inspirational trends.

Make-up trends

Firstly let’s start with makeup; from Chanel’s quilted eye shadow to Givenchy ‘s gothic beauty, every look on the catwalk had a very unique twist. We loved Chanel as it gave us major makeup goals with their quilted eye shadow. Easy to replicate by using a snipping of plastic mesh as a template.  You would then lightly dab your chosen colour onto the template. You can simply pair the look with thick mascara and soft pink lips.

An oldie but still an all time favourite is the Chic-rock smokey eyes created by makeup artist Tom Pecheux at Elie Saab. This look was seen on the likes of Kendall Jenner as she modelled an intense MAC eye makeup and muted lips.

Another main trend that came out of this season’s fashion week was the natural and luminous look.  This sees flushed cheeks in a showcase by designers like Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, and Versace. At Missoni, Lucia Pieroni created a graphic look with painterly stripes of colour across the lids and into the brows; a very bold look for the weekend.

At Prada we also loved Pat McGrath’s models with mouths painted a rich gold, leaving the rest of the face fresh and natural-looking. We love anything GOLD!

Hairstyling trends

Another area we really loved was all the different hairstyles and colouring from this season’s fashion shows. The return of the braids at a hand full of shows, including hair by the Label M session team, braided into a half-up-half-down style. Continuing the braid was hairstylist Anthony Turner with a sea-swept braid bow buns at Erdem.

A lot of designers had gone for a more natural look with hair this season.  Loose hair and ever so slightly wavy with off-centre parting. Another simplistic look is hair by Paul Hanlon styled in a casual loose ponytail with loose strands around the face.
