Behold the return of the double pony – and we’re not talking playground trends. This super-cute hairstyle is the upgrade to last season’s Princess Leia space-bun fad, where loosely worn locks not only give more volume, but the chance to show off quirky dye-jobs. Bunches are combined with ziz-zag parting, adorned with an array of sparkle, sequins and glitter – the bigger the better!
Bold is best
Gone are the days of multi-tonal, graduated tints – this season is all about embracing everything extra with all-out colour blocking. From bubblegum blues to candy-floss pinks, statement bold shades are triumphing over the bayalage/underlights trends we saw last season. Top tip: Match your hair colour with your pedi for a totally on-trend look.
An upgrade to the iconic 90s bob, this cutesy cut combines voluminous waves with minimal layerage and a sweeping side fringe, making hair appear fuller and thicker, with natural bounce. A perfectly pretty down-do, the lob (long bob) can complement a variety of different face shapes, with the added bonus of super-easy styling.
Bowl cut comeback
Forget the DIY disasters haunting childhood photos since the 80’s –this super-sleek hairdo is far more gorgeous than goofy. Channelling all things retro, it combines a simple sharp cut, grazing fringe, and slight side shaving, creating an ultra-edgy look. And not a bowl in sight!
From retro-reinvention to a do which simply doesn’t get old – hippy-hair is still big in 2017. Requiring minimal styling, locks are worn in tousled beach waves with asymmetrical, loose braiding. And for those ultimate festival vibes try experimenting with colourful threading and glitter beading!
