Halloween is literally on our doorstep and that makes it the perfect time to experiment with some looks that only come out once a year. While we’ve already got our make-up and hair sorted for the big day, we still haven’t figured out how to accessorise our most important feature – our nails! So, to give you a helping hand, whether you’ve opted for a supernatural costume or gone all out gore, we’ve rounded up some of our absolute favourite nail art designs that are simply perfect for October 31st:
First up, one of our favourite looks for this spectacularly spooky holiday. Taking the coffin nail trend to a whole new level, these nails are sculpted into the coffin nail shape, then decorated to look like the kind of coffin that Dracula might rise up out of. To achieve this look, opt for a vampy matte black and add a gold outline and a cross detail to the centre, and voila! The ideal complement for finishing off your vampire costume.
Black widow nails
What could be more Halloweeny than spiders? These black widow nails will work beautifully with any witch costume and are fairly easy to create. Start with a shimmery base cost, add white lines and, if you want to glam them right up, add some rhinestones to really help those webs sparkle.
Pastel bat nails
Bats are a classic Halloween staple and, when paired with pastel colours, can add a cheerful undertone to your costume. Try alternating colours and sizes of bats to really bring the look alive, and sprinkle with a dash of glitter for a look that’s as cute as it is fun.
For a truly spooky scene, these graveyard nails will really fit the bill. Begin with a purple or navy base coat and decorate with black silhouette graves to give the illusion of being in a graveyard after dark.
Blood splatter nails
What Halloween celebration could be complete without a bit of fake blood? Perfect if you’re planning to go as a zombie this year, these blood splatter nails are an elegant way of mixing class with classic Halloween gore. Begin with a white base colour and detail with a web of red to create the blood splatter effect.
Ombre pumpkin nails
If you don’t want to go too all out on your nails so they’re still suitable for work the next day, these ombre pumpkin nails might be for you. A sherbet-coloured duo that’ll go just as well with your pumpkin costume as your work attire too, these nails will keep you looking on trend as we head into the winter months.
