Gina Conway collaborates with Haircuts4Homeless for Women’s Refuge Programme.
Haircuts4Homeless is a registered charity, set up 5 years ago by veteran hairdresser Stewart Roberts, after being inspired by the actions of hairdressers in various parts of the world cutting hair for the homeless. Stewart is encouraging skilled hairdressers to volunteer, in their own spare time free of charge, to style and cut the hair of people living on the streets.
Salon brand founder and hair stylist Gina Conway, whose salons style the hair for the likes of Sienna Miller and Tess Daley, has recently joined Stewart’s team of stylists cutting and styling hair at the Women’s Refuge Programme in Tower Hamlets, London. Her sunny Californian-style customer service, combined with acute hair intuition and skills, provide the perfect combination to nurture these women’s self esteem.
Gina told us, “I was glad that I could help by giving the gift of beauty. I saw so many big smiles on their faces and we laughed a lot. Some of the girls were really thrilled to feel like they were the more important person in the world, even if only for a few hours. We were able to contribute our love and share our passion for making a difference to women and girls who need it most. I feel very lucky that I have a gift I can share and a team who shares my vision.”
