Pretty In Pastel: Pastel Hair Colours That Will Have You Living For The Long Easter Bank Holiday

Easter is nearly on our doorstep and we’re really feeling the spring vibes. We’ve already picked out our new favourite make-up look for the long bank holiday and have got our salon looking fresh, but now spring is here, we’re feeling our hair could use a bit of a touch up as well.

Now, while Easter hair trends may not be a thing, we know that this season is all about pastels – and there’s nothing that suits pastels better than our locks! So, to really get our Easter look on point for the long bank holiday, we’ve lined up some of our absolute favourite pastel hair colours that are sure to make you feel fabulous this Easter.

Unicorn hair

Kicking things off with an old favourite of ours from last year, the unicorn hair trend knocked our socks off with its gorgeous pastel tones, blended together to create a mane worthy of the mythical creature it’s named after. Mix together a whole variety of your favourite pastel tones in more muted shades and you’ll find a look that’s wearable come work or play and is totally Easter-ready.

Millennial pink hair

Another one of our favourites from the year past, millennial pink hair has truly earned its place as one of the most popular pastel shades of 2017 – and it’s still going strong in the spring of 2018 too. A truly versatile colour that pretty much sums up the feelings of Easter and spring, this colour is a must for the transition between the seasons.

Iced lavender hair

Now onto a new favourite of ours and one we’re sure is going to be huge in 2018. It’s subtle yet makes a statement; pastel yet bright and it packs a whole lot of blue tones. It’s iced lavender hair – and it’s simply stunning. Forget blending with safer colours. Go all out and try a dusty lavender blue tone to really bring the pastel, spring vibes to your hair this Easter. Finish with ultra wavey locks for a look that’s super chic.

Blorange hair

Back to another older favourite, blorange hair was all the rage last year but it hasn’t fallen out of style this year either. Taking orange hair down a more pastel route, this hair colour bridges the gap between spring and summer to take you seamlessly through the seasons in style. Mix soft pastel orange shades with darker shades for a deeply dimensional look, or simply rock it all over one colour – either way, you’re sure to be looking and feeling fresh for the long Easter bank holiday.

Seafoam green hair

Another colour favourite of ours for spring 2018, seafoam green hair is the pastel medium between blue and green hair for those who just can’t make up their minds. We’ve seen Kylie Jenner rock this look in the past and you really can’t beat its simplicity. Rock it all over for standout style, or mix with other pastel tones to get achieve something more akin to the coveted mermaid hair everyone was going nuts about last year.

Pastel grey hair

It might seem odd to put grey hair in an article about pastel hair, but bear with us a minute because pastel grey hair is definitely something worth taking a closer look at. While the grey and silver hair trends have been rocking our socks off already this year (we’re looking at you ghosted hair!), pastel grey hair is the happy medium for those thinking about taking on those tones, without going quite so full on. It’s a subtler colour, with smoky tones taking centre stage to create colour that works beautifully on voluminous hair. It might not seem like the most Easter-ready hair colour on this list, but we think it’s earned its spot all the same.
