Looking Egg-cellent: Our Favourite Make-Up Ideas To Make All Your Easter Dreams Come True

Easter’s only two weeks away and we’re already feeling the spring spirit that it ushers in with its arrival. Easter eggs are on sale in every shop and businesses are already beginning to put up their Easter decorations. It won’t be long now until the Easter egg hunts, and Easter holidays, begin and we’re already excited to indulge in far too much chocolate and thoroughly enjoy a well-deserved, long Easter bank holiday.

Like all special occasions, including Christmas, Easter fever has not gone unnoticed in the make-up world either. Our best and brightest Instagrammers are already working on some very unique creations that are perfect for celebrating Easter in style. Whether it’s a more spring-orientated look or a full-out Easter make-up design, here are some of our favourite make-up ideas to have you looking fresh over the long Bank Holiday.

Springtime flower eye make-up

This first eye make-up look is super cute and transitions us beautifully from winter to spring. Using soft, pastel colours, glitter and a host of flower buttons and beads, this look from Instagrammer Lucinda uses white eyeliner and blended eyeshadows to create a winged look. She’s even added pink mascara on the bottom lashes to bring this colourful palette together – and we must say, it looks amazing!

Easter egg lips

Next up, an Easter egg-inspired lip look featured on Mehron Make-up’s Instagram, that’s sure to have you dreaming in chocolate. Graduating from warm colours on the top lip to cooler colours on the bottom lip, this look goes for a slightly stronger palette than the first, but still manages to wow us with seamless transitions between colours. We especially love the cute white detailing on the top lip that mimics the outer casing of a classic Easter egg – really ties the whole look together.

Pastel ombre bead eye make-up

This one has to be one of our favourites. Created by Instagrammer, Molly Bee, she uses strong pastel shades, coordinating coloured beads and diamante stickers to create this beautiful springtime look. A fusion of colour, she’s even gone so far as to use a pastel-shaded mascara to bring all of these elements together in blissful harmony.

Mini egg lips

The next Instagrammer on our list has cleverly used the candy-coated shells of mini eggs to create her Easter-inspired lip look. Caleb, a make-up artist from Vancouver, used a strong, metallic purple base for her Easter look, and then layered pastel mini egg shells over the top lip to create a look that’s both simple – and delicious!

happy easter, babes ?? [#100daysofmakeup throwback, huh?]

Cute chick eye make-up

This next eye make-up look is so super cute, we absolutely had to feature it on this blog. Instagram make-up artist, Alycia Marie, has a page full of gorgeous eye make-up looks, but this one really caught our eye. Creating a scene on her eyelid of some cute chicks hatching from their eggs in springtime, she’s used metallic shades for the background to add atmosphere, and finished with matte shades for her clouds and chicks. She’s even thrown in some super bright flowers in the corner so you know spring is officially here.

Holi-inspired lips

Last but by no means least, another spring-inspired look from Instagrammer, Molly Bee. Opting for a lip look this time, she brings together a gorgeous, vibrant colour palette that reminds us a little of the vibrant colours used in the Indian festival of spring, Holi. This look incorporates strong yellows, oranges and hot pinks with vibrant reds for a look that’s larger than life. The white outline around top and bottom lip also really help to make those colours pop.
