The days of placing a bowl on your head and trimming are long gone as crazy ways to colour and cut hair is making a comeback!
The stench of burning hair is definitely the last thing you’d expect when walking into a hair salon, at least not in this day and age. However, if you walk into Antica Barbieria Colla in Milan, the barbers tend to put a very traditional and fiery spin on the classic cut. Owner Franco Bompieri and his barbers cut the hair with scissors and finishes by burning the very ends of the hair with a thin candle which Franco mentions it makes the ‘’hair bigger and stronger and helps prevent it from falling out.’’ So whether or not these hot out of the seat cuts are really working some amazing magic to your ends the video is pretty fun to watch. Just check out the video below.
When it comes to dying your hair there can be loads of styles whether it’s highlights, lowlights, full head colour or maybe ombre? But would you ever think of using something as simple as a magazine to achieve this?
Instagram user Abedallahitani does exactly this with an amazing hair colour transformation in the video below. It shows you the process of the hair transformation with each layer of the hair being dyed at the tips and placed inside the pages of a magazine allowing it to develop. With each layer dyed, each page would be turned until you reach the front cover. Simply bonkers or simply amazing?
With so much talent out there it’s no wonder we are seeing so many techniques being used which are slightly different to the classic cut and colour. We are also seeing hairstyles and colours that’s more than your typical brown, blonde and black hair by using bright greens, pinks and purples. Infamous Guy Tang creates cuts and colours using methods such as Tricolour and ranging from deep reds to pastel pinks but also using undercuts and side shaves using glitter! Watch his amazing work in the video below.
