Barber

  • Washing, cutting, stylist and drying hair
  • Use of cut throat razors
  • Use of clippers/trimmers

Hairstylist

  • Application of dyes, tints, bleaches, perms
  • Application of nail polish
  • Earpiercing using gun and stud method
  • Eyebrow/eyelash plucking, shaping, dyeing, tinting and perming
  • False eyelashes
  • Hair extensions
  • Special treatment of hair: straightening, conditioning treatments etc. (if chemical straightening, up to 0.2% formaldehyde)
  • Tooth jewellery
  • Use of clippers/trimmers
  • Use of cut throat razors
  • Use of electrical equipment such as tongs, curlers, straighteners, hairdryers

Trichologist

  • Analysis of scalp and/or hair disorders and the non-medical treatment of those maladies
  • The use of ultra violet, infra red or high frequency to assist in the treatment
  • The blending/mixing of proprietary branded products
  • Excluding:
    • Treatments involving piercing of the skin.
    • Cryotherapy treatment.
    • Treatment of any medical ailment diagnosed by a medical practitioner which is given against the practitioner’s advice.

Nail Technician

  • Application of nail extensions and nail coatings including varnish
  • Application of nail art
  • Cutting / shaping of nails
  • Manicures/pedicures (including paraffin wax)

  • Acid peels (AHA/glycolic – up to 40% acid. Above 40% to be referred to us for approval)
